Philadelphia -- The Philadelphia Flyers players wore patches and the “Boston Strong” on the helmets on a night that was about playing a hockey game but also remembering that we’’re all citizens of the United States and Boston’s residents are our brothers and sisters at the end of the day and this game exemplified that with a beautiful video tribute and God Bless American rendition with Lauren Hart and Kate Smith.

Philadelphia -- It’s not how you start but how you finish and right now the Philadelphia Flyers mini hot streak, two in a row, back-to-back, has now kept their slim chances alive (5 points out of the 8th spot) while hurting the Rangers chances.
The Flyers, Sabres, Jets, Rangers and Islanders seem to be fighting for the 7th and 8th spot in the Eastern conference playoff race. At this point in the season teams are supposed to play desperate hockey. The Flyers did and the Rangers didn’t.
Philadelphia -- The New York Rangers came into Philadelphia trying to rediscover their offense and they came away with a 5-2 win.
Rangers forward Derek Stepan, has turned into one of the team’s best players. He had a four-point game and figured in on his team’s first four goals. Almost every facet of his game was at its peak and as a result the Rangers played a full 60-minute game for the first time in a long time.
One stick to the right eye from Mikhail Grabovski October 24th, 2011 set Chris Pronger on a course that he’s still currently on.
Proving we still don’t know enough about concussions (he got one in a December game in Winnipeg), coupled with an eye problem, to know if he’ll ever fully recover.
