Philadelphia -- The Philadelphia Flyers players wore patches and the “Boston Strong” on the helmets on a night that was about playing a hockey game but also remembering that we’’re all citizens of the United States and Boston’s residents are our brothers and sisters at the end of the day and this game exemplified that with a beautiful video tribute and God Bless American rendition with Lauren Hart and Kate Smith.
This Sunday the Flyers Wives Carnival will take place at the WFC. Kristen Laviolette, Peter's wife, has been very active in making sure the word gets out so Flyers fans support this great event. Even though this is a shortened season it's nice to see that they were going forward with the carnival.
"Everybody has hit the ground running," said Kristen. "We are so excited to have our carnival and support everybody in the community.. This is an event that has gone on for 36 seasons"
They spread around the money to 150 worthwhile causes.

Philadelphia -- Jaromir Jagr had a two-point game with 40-extra pounds on him via a flak jacket. He really didn’t like how it slowed him down in the third period but he was still moving well. He moved into 8th place on the all-time scoring list passing the great Joe Sakic tonight. He’s currently the third leading scorer on the Flyers.
The Flyers got a dominating 6-3 win. Their defense wasn’t pretty but their goaltending from Ilya Bryzgalov was better for sure. The team was clearly happy after the win but Jagr was in a very jovial mood. Check out the video here:
